‘And whoever saves one - it is as if he had saved mankind entirely.’ ~ 5:32

We would like to inform you of an amazing opportunity to put the values and ideals which Imam Hussain (A.S) stood for into practice.

We're asking Muslim communities nationwide to unite for a cause at the heart of the community: saving lives. Donating blood is the cheapest form of charity. Yet each unit of blood can save up to three adult lives or seven infant lives.

The Imam Hussain Blood Donation Campaign 2017 has now expanded to include even more cities and once again we need your help to make it a success. Will you join us?

We believe everyone has the potential to do something amazing and help those in need.

The Imam Hussain Blood Donation Campaign's session this year will be taking place on Saturday 28th October. Those who wish to donate blood can book an appointment by calling 01923 486 880 or by visiting ius.org.uk/giveblood.  Anyone who is able to donate is highly encouraged to take part in this important initiative, in the name of Imam Hussain (AS).

Stay tuned for more information or follow the campaign throughout the year on social media too.

The Making Birmingham Greener & Healthier Awards were held on Tuesday 18 July. We had a marvellous cross section of winners, all carrying out very different activities and all worthy green champions for Birmingham.

Our club has been a runner up and we were nominated by our lovely Community Cycling Co-ordinator - Vanessa Morris of Cycling UK - the organisation that our cycling club is affiliated with.
