The Children’s Tabligh Committee would like to invite all children aged 5-18 years to celebrate the birth of the Holy Prophet (pbuh).

 The milad will take place on Sunday, 10th December 2017, from 4pm-7pm.

 There is no entry fee, however we appreciate a voluntary donation of £1/child.

The Book Cave Opening Times for December are: Every Saturday 12-2pm (including Storytime) and Every Sunday 10-3pm (closed on Sunday 24th and Sunday 31st)

We are pleased to introduce *Stories of the Prophets* every Saturday in December at The Book Cave. Please see the poster for more details 

The WF in partnership with Lady Zaynab Helping Hands (LZHH) have extended their invitation for all community members to attend LZHH's official launch.

At: The Abbasi Islamic Center, Birmingham

Held on: Friday 24 November 2017

Commencing from 6.30pm onwards.

The event will include short speeches from invitees followed by LZHH presentation of their recent activities to include interactive Q & A session and networking.

Separate activities to include a card competition will be held for children during the event.

Dinner will be served thereafter.

Desserts will be available on sale, and all proceeds will go towards the orphans and widows of Sayyada Zaynab area in Zaynabiyah.

The KSIMC of Birmingham invites you to be part of an exceptional and exciting upcoming event, the first of its kind in Birmingham, open to both men and women, young and old...we proudly present to you the first ever Lady Fizza Annual Quran Competition. (#LFQC).

Our main objective is to bring awareness to the treasures of the Holy Quran and inculcate the Love of the Holy Quran in our children, youth and adults of our community.

The competition will provide an opportunity for a range of individuals to participate and will take place

At: Mehfil-e-Abbas
On 4th – 6th May 2018
Registration Deadline: 17th December '17

The age and recitation categories for the competition are as follows:

  • 5-7 (Hifz and/or Tafsir)

  • 8-10 (Hifz and/or Tafsir and/or Open Recitation)

  • 11-15 (Hifz and/or Tafsir and/or Open Recitation)

  • 16+ (Hifz and/or Tafsir and/or Open Recitation)
     
Descriptions of recitation categories

  • Hifz: Participants will be given chapters to memorise and will be asked a selection on the day.

  • Tafsir: Participants will be given 10-15 verses months in advance and will be asked about the tafseer/details for 2 of these verses.

  • Open recitation: Under 16's will be given chapters to prepare and over 16's anywhere in the Quran

Participants can choose to participate in any of the recitation categories according to their age group. E.g. You can participate in all 3: Hifz, Tafsir and Open Recitation or if you prefer to, you can participate in 1 of the recitation categories.

Muhammadi Madrasah and SMUMS present a collaborative event to be held on Sunday November 12th at 10 am.

The event is a Bulugh Seminar by Alimah Masuma Jaffer of London and aims to assist ladies in preparation for supporting our youth through Bulugh.

This event is open to all ladies via registration only.
