There are several types of prayers and du'as for this night. Some are given below;

1. Pray 100 Rakat Namaaz as under: 
   In every Rakat, after the recitation of Sura al-Fatihah, recite Sura al-Ikhlas 3 times.
   
   At the end, after salaam, recite the following 70 times:
   
   SUBHAANALLAAHI WAL HAMDU LILLAAHI WA LAA ILAHA ILLAL-ALLAHU WAL-LAAHU AKBAR
   
   Glory be to Allah! All praise is for Allah! There is no god save Allah! Allah is the greatest
   
   WA LAA HAWLA WA LAA QUWWATA ILLAA BILLAAHIL 'ALIYYIL 'ADHEEM
   
   There is no power and no strength save in Allah, the High, the Great.
   
   ASTAGHFIRULLAHA RABBI WA ATOOBU ILAYH
   
   I ask for Allah 's pardon and unto Him I turn repentant.
   
   
2. Recite Salawat as many times as possible.
   
   
3. Recite "La'n" to condemn and curse the killers of Imam Husayn (a.s):
   
   ALLAHUMMAL-'AN QATALATAL HUSAYN 'ALAYHIS SALAAM
   
   O Allah! Lay a curse upon the killers of Imam Husayn, peace be upon him.
   
   
4. Pray a 4 Rakat Namaaz: In every Rakat, after the recitation of Sura al-Fatihah, recite Ayat al-Kursi, Sura al-Ikhlas, Sura al-Falaq and and Sura an-Naas 10 times each. After salaam recite again Sura al-Ikhlas 100 times.
   
   
5. Pray a 4 Rakat Namaz as under: In every Rakat, after the recitation of Sura al-Fatihah, recite Sura al-Ikhlas 50 times.
