Ramadan Relief 1437: Celebrating 40 years of serving humanity, The World Federation launches Ramadan Relief Fund 2016
2016 marks the 40th anniversary of The World Federation’s service to our global community, and the annual Ramadan Relief Fund continues to be our leading initiative in addressing poverty and hunger during the Holy month of Ramadan. In the Ramadan Du’as which we recite nightly, we ask our Lord:
“O Allah, on this day, let me have mercy on the orphans, and feed (the hungry), and spread peace, and keep company with the noble-minded, O the Shelter of the hopeful.”
This year, The World Federation has identified over 73,000 orphans, children, seniors, widows, families and the physically challenged who need our help during the month of Ramadan. These families live in different countries including Afghanistan, Bosnia, Gaza, India, Iraq, Kenya, Madagascar, Myanmar, Pakistan, South Africa, Syria, Tanzania, and Uganda. Living in poverty and struggling with adversities is difficult enough. Families depend on the Ramadhan Relief Fund so that they too can fast and pray in peace without having to worry about where their next meal is coming from. Nothing is more difficult than facing these men, women, and children with nothing to give.
This year, with your help and donations, we hope to provide various forms of aid such as food baskets, iftar, sehri, debt relief, medical assistance and other essential items and services to beneficiary families who are counting on our help.
• For as little as £40 GBP you can feed a family of four for one month.
