Our teachers completed a Safeguarding and Student Welfare briefing where CoEJ SAN's Sukaina Merchant, our DSL Anam Panjwani and Head of Student Welfare Shabir Jivraj provided some in-depth understanding of the basics of Safeguarding and Student Welfare.
A very informative session that led to some very open, difficult but enlightening discussions between our staff and the facilitators. Staff analysed case studies, worked through guidance from CoEJ and also covered Student Welfare topics including classroom behaviour management and what to do if they spot signs of concern in a child.
Congratulations to all the staff who attended the training, and extra special appreciation to them after attending training immediately after a full day at Madrasah. Note of thanks for CoEJ for their support in strengthening our Safeguarding department.
