I have been assisting our community with matchmaking for about 16yrs and was initially involved with Khojamatch.com as a matchmaker. I moved to Birmingham from London and we established the "Birmingham Matchmaking Forum" in 2009. I have served as joint Treasurer for Birmingham Jamaat and am also a member of Welfare Committee.


Shabbir Nanji

I have been assisting our community with matchmaking for about 8yrs since the establishment of "Birmingham Matchmaking Forum" in 2009.


Husna Khimji

I have served as a chairlady of KSIMC Birmingham Jamaat for many years. I am an active volunteer and over the years have taken varying positions within different sub committees. Presently, I lead the ME2WE matrimonial committee and have done for the last four years. I have myself been a match-maker for over 15 years and also a committee member of the Birmingham Matchmaking Forum since its inception in 2009. I have a variety of experience in all community work.


Mumtaz Lalji

Having been a member of the Jamaat for the past 32 years, I have been involved in various Jamaat committee's and also a private match maker after which I was given the opportunity to be part of the Birmingham Matchmaking Forum.


Shaukat Dahya

I have been doing voluntary and charity work for many years. I have travelled to places like Kenya, Iraq, India and many others in order to help those in need and I have been doing matchmaking for around 20 years.


Effat Rajbhai

I have held senior positions in Birmingham Jamaat like chair/ vice chair of the Ladies Committee. I am passionate about supporting our community in various areas and have been matchmaking for many years, appointed to the BMMF in 2009. I am also into my 2nd term as the chair of the Muhammadi Nursery.


Mohammed Kassamali

Having lived in the counties of Sussex, Dorset and Kent for almost 40 years Mohamed Gulamabbas Kassamali moved to Birmingham in 2006. Shaukat Bhai Merali Dahya introduced Mohamed into the community and asked him to see if the matchmakers could be brought under one umbrella and formulated as a committee of the Birmingham Jamaat. Mohamed with the guidance of Sheikh Mohamed Rashid,  the then resident Aalim, asked Shaukatbhai to convene a meeting of the matchmakers in Birmingham. This was the start of the the Birmingham Matchmakers' Forum. Mohamed served as a secretary of the organization for a couple of years before taking a back seat. He works closely with other matchmakers on the team.
