His Golden Words on Learning & Education

  1. Receiving education nurtures human wisdom. (Majlisi, Bihārul Anwār, vol.78, p.128)
  2. Increase of experiences, increases the wisdom of mankind. (Majlisi, Bihārul Anwār, vol.78 p.128)
  3. Wisdom will not be complete except by following the truth.(Majlisi, Bihārul Anwār, vol.78, p.127)
  4. Among the signs of a learned man is criticising his own words and being informed of various viewpoints. (Majlisi, Bihārul Anwār, vol.78, p.119)
  5. Two signs of learned person are:
  • acceptance of other people's criticism,
  • and being knowledgeable about the angles and dimensions of rhetoric and debate. (Ibn Shu'ba al-Harrani, Tuhaf al-'Uqul, p.252)

    6. The wise one does not speak to one whom he fears he shall be belied, he does not ask anyone of anything if he fears he shall not receive, and he does not repose hope on one whom he does not trust. (Rayhānatur Rasūl, p.55)

Qur'an ne pukara jise nafs e mutma'inna, Khaaliq ki nazar me hai ye darja Hussein ka,

Sheh neze pe karte hain tilawat Qur'an ki, Qur'an padh raha hai qasida Hussein ka.

WRITERS WANTED!

To enlighten the youth on our great Islamic saints and personalities we are looking for youth to write short articles.

These articles should be based around the upcoming functions in the mosque. For example, just before the Wafaat of a particular personality we will remember in Muharram, the article will be emailed out to the youth and also feature on the Jamaat website (www.ksmnet.org).

These articles should be kept to a few paragraphs and highlight anything particularly interesting you found when researching the personality.  

This is a really great opportunity for us to help and gain from each other's research. We really hope the youth can contribute in numbers so that we can really start uplifting this community together!

The following is a list of upcoming mosque programmes that we need articles for:
  • Wednesday 12th January = Wafaat of 2nd Imam (as)
  • Saturday 15th January = Wafaat of Bibi Sakina (as)
  • Wednesday 2nd February = Wafaat of Holy Prophet (pbuh)
  • Thursday 3rd February = Wafaat 8th Imam (as)
